Philly!

I was fortunate enough to travel to Philadelphia for the first time this past weekend. I went out to celebrate Natalie & Mike's wedding and I was able to stay a few extra days and hang out with one of my bestest girlfriends from college, Elizabeth. I haven't seen her in 3 years and it was a perfect example of true friendship...we seriously started where we left off 3 years ago saying goodbye to each other after college graduation!

I felt like I was in the Real World for the weekend because I crashed at her rowhouse with her roomies. She lives with 4 other people...Leah, Mark, Matt & Tim. Most of them work in the service non profit field and it's simply amazing to see how passionate they are for making a difference in the world. I learned many new facts and felt like I was back in college---we all watched the Oscars on Sunday (7 of us) bunched together on 1 couch, 1 futon and 2 chairs. HILLARIOUS! Needless to say, I had an absolute blast and couldn't have asked for a more perfect hostess. I was able to meet her boyfriend Brian who is so rediculously perfect for her and filled with a wealth of Philadelphia knowledge! He works for a mental hospital in Philly and does outreach for the mentally handicap homeless people.

I was in downtown Philly putsing around Antique Row & Society Hill and became photo happy! Here are soms shots.

Nummy!

Many of you know that I work out of my home studio and I work some strange hours. I love coffee but coffee does not like my body. So I have to limit my amount during the week...but I have discovered the greatest little pick me up!! Trader Joe's Spicy Chai Latte Mix!! It's the greatest!

Lately I have been branching out and marketing myself more to CO, NM, WA & OR for album design. I have spoke to some amazing photographers that keep telling me 'what impeccable timing' I have by inquiring if they are interested in outsourcing! Inspiration...

I think one of the best feelings in life is seeing someone succeed. Ever since becoming involved with SuperCamp thru Learning Forum I have watched kids, and teens grow and 'get' success. I watch that every day while I tutor kids and it puts an instant smile on my face.

I have been watching many of my friends start jobs, change to new ones, start their own companies...and it has always been a thrill watching them all suceed in everything they do. I have the most creative bunch of friends that definitely bring something compeltely different and unique to the table.

My dear friend and creative thinker Luke Korem made it big as one of the top wedding videographers in Dallas when he was still attending Texas A & M. Now he is on his own making it big in the advertising/film world. Check out his latest commercials.

David Jay is another friend that I have watched grow since he started his wedding photography company when I was still in college. I was so excited to see this article about him in Christian Single magazine. Just thought I would share with everyone...he is a very talented individual and I'm so very proud to call him one of my friends!!
